I’m sterilizing everything with 91% isopropyl alcohol -
My advice after 15-20 years of doing this is to buy top quality stainless steel. Start small and work yourself up to the size you want. Find ones that you can keep in for extended periods of time and don’t be in a hurry. The screw in types are great.
Good cleaning habits are a must. I boil for 30 minutes then into a pool of isopropyl alcohol. I buy individual packets of sterilized lubricant.

4 mm to 18 mm in the set.As for lubricant I was thinking about ¿Surgilube?
I know not all lubricant is the same and this seemed safer than something like astroglide toy joy since it is actually going inside my urethra.When I get them I’ll boil them then soak them in the alcohol bath

I’ve been trying to learn how to crochet since Thanks Giving. Just been too cold outside to do much.And crochet hooks are gauged too.

Crochet hooks are safer than a thermometer. Things could go south really quickly if a glass thermometer with mercury broke off.

I’ve been sounding for 7 or 8 years now and never sterilised anything yet! The best my stuff gets is a good wash with soapy water and then rinsed and dried. I’ve never had any hint of an issue. Am I just lucky? After so long, I don’t think so. As for lube, I’ve found the best thing is peanut or vegetable oil from the kitchen cupboard. It doesn’t dry up like water based lube and makes your cock and balls nice and oily too. Just dip the sound into the oil and away you go. I figure if it’s safe to eat it’s ok to put in my cock (or any other orifice!).

Andrew you’re very lucky. My doctor told me some people are just not as sensitive as others I’ve had UTI’s over the years and can’t express enough about safe habits.

Yeah, I mostly gave up on sounding. I got a raging case of epididymitis/orchitis with clostridium and e coli a few years back. My balls are pretty big to start with. The damned thing swelled up to the size of an avocado and pushed the healthy one up inside. I couldn’t touch it for three weeks without gritting my teeth.

I clean my sounds with a good hand sanitizer then then use a good water base lube no problems as of yet been sounding for 50 years now! Im addicted too it
